The Freedom Calls Foundation will provide secure Internet Video Conferencing on Friday, Aug. 27, for Soldiers based at a military camp in the Sunni Triangle, Iraq. This event utilizes the Freedom Calls Foundation Communications Network and will incorporate video conferencing equipment and facilities provided by Tobyhanna Army Depot for the 365th Engineering Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve. This event is organized to help the Freedom Calls Foundation fulfill its mission of connecting all deployed troops and families. The Freedom Calls Foundation has integrated systems, services, and equipment in military hospitals and bases around the globe, to reunite separated families all over the U.S. by allowing them to remotely attend graduations, communions as well as see their newborn babies and families.

"The Freedom Calls Foundation was initially founded in Pennsylvania. We have been helping soldiers and families from Maine to Maui, yet this is the first time we are connecting families in Pennsylvania. Families are traveling from around Pennsylvania to meet with their loved ones deployed in Iraq," stated Edward Bukstel, Co Founder, Freedom Calls Foundation.

"Families that are split apart by long deployments during war deserve to have the best technology available to ensure meaningful participation in milestone family events," stated. Bukstel. "As a public charity providing free services to Soldiers and their families, we appreciate all the help of the American People and Tobyhanna Army Depot in our continuing mission to connect every deployed soldier with their loved ones."

Media representatives interested in covering this event should contact the depot’s Public Affairs Office at 570 895-7308 for information on accessing the installation. The program will begin at noon on Friday and continue until about 3 p.m.
