Thank you....Thank you!
We have been so incredibly busy the last few weeks it seems like I never have time to update everyone on what is happening around here. There are some really BIG thanks that need to be said before we get even busier and miss someone.
First of all Thanks! to the Lynn Family for the beautiful stockings they made for us. They also sent items to help fill the stockings!
Thank you also to Exeter Twp Key Club and Exeter Twp School District. The Key Club started collecting items to fill the Holiday Stockings for Soldiers a couple weeks ago and has been doing a fantastic job. The school sent flyers home with the elementary students to also help our troops. We will be working with the members of the Key Club on Saturday, Nov 6th to sort the items and stuff the stockings in the cafeteria at Exeter High School. Thanks to this entire school district for showing their support for our military who are so far from home for the holidays!
But wait......there's more........
Thank you and great job goes to Spring Ford Middle School 8th Grade! They sent us a check to help cover postage to mail all the stockings we are making. They didn't let me know how they raised the money but it is truly appreciated.
Twin Valley High School contacted us about making and sending cookies to our troops. We are not just talking about a couple cookies folks, but 2,000 to 3,000 cookies! That should make quite a few of our troops happy.
Mrs Bock's advisee group from The Perkiomen School sent us some beautiful handmade cards to send to our troops and they made some for the soldiers to send home to their families. They included birthday and holiday cards in their package too.
Our friend Joann (Toga on the message board) always sends us postcards to add to the care packages. She just sent another whole batch and some phone cards to make sure someone gets to call home on Christmas. Thanks for your continued support Jo!
BIG Thanks to Anna and her helper elves at St. Anselm Exploration Company in Denver, Colorado. They have stuffed, packed and shipped over 160 stockings for the troops. They must really be in the Christmas spirit already!
Our blog friends have been doing their share too! SlagleRock, Mamamontezz, Tammi and Weaselteeth have been getting the word out on their blogs about all our projects! Thanks to all of you for the help!
I am sure I am probably missing someone and if we have forgotten you just shoot me an email so I can add your name and our thanks to this list!
As we get closer to the mailing deadline for holiday packages I would like to remind everyone that if you are sending things to us to be included in the stockings or Holiday Care Packages PLEASE mail them so that we receive them by December 1st! If you can help us with a donation for postage or to help fill the stockings please use the Paypal button on the front page of our main site at www.keystonesoldiers.com or you can mail a check or money order to: Keystone Soldiers PO Box 152 Fleetwood, Pa 19522.
Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read this and to help our troops!
