Email settings
Anyone on AOL should add keystone@keystonesoldiers.com, and keystonemilitary@yahoo.com to their address book or friends list.
We are continuing to get passwords for site registration and and penpal assignments returned to us because AOL and several other ISPs (Internet Service Providers) think it is spam or do not allow attachments of any kind to go through. When we assign penpals there is an attachment that is a plain text file that contains the Penpal Rules that should be followed. This attachment is plain text and perfectly safe for anyone to open.
If you still are not hearing from us after adding us to your address book there are several things you can do to make sure our mail gets through.
Create a Mail Rule. Create a new folder in your email named Keystone. Go to Set New Message Rule or what ever your email program calls it. The rule should be set so "Mail from XXXX@XXXX.com" goes directly to your Keystone folder. Add both our email addresses in place of the Xs. That means that our email will always go to the correct folder and you will see it as soon as you login. This works 90% of the time.
Get a free Hotmail or Yahoo account. Yahoo and Hotmail do not seem to have a problem with our email but you may also want to set up a Mail Rule on the account just in case. The accounts are free and allow you to read your email on the web. Since one of our email addresses is Yahoo you can guess who we recommend.
If you have registered on any of our sites and do not receive your password in 4 hours please email us directly so we can reset your password and send it to you again. Make sure you have followed the instructions above before you contact us or the email will not get to you when we reply.
We hope this helps eliminate some of the email issues we are currently seeing. If you have any other suggestions (since we do not use AOL) please post a comment here to share them. We hate to have anyone feeling rejected or ignored because they are not getting their information from us.
~Keystone
